Our Massage Types
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage targets chronic tension to muscles that lie far below the body's surface. Deep muscle techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure or friction movements that go across the muscle grain. We typically also incorporate cupping, PEMF, Chinese herbs and infrared red light therapy to our massage. This is a great medicinal pain relieving type of massage that is customized to your unique needs.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness, and increases circulation and metabolism. Hot stones expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic drainage massage stimulates the lymphatic system to enhance detoxification and reduce swelling. Uses light rhythmic strokes to move lymph fluid throughout the body improving immune function and promoting healing. We are Vodder MLD certified.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is an ancient alternative medicine practice that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction created by the cups increases blood flow to the area, promoting healing and helping release muscle tension.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage involves long, fluid strokes of muscles and tissues with pressure that varies from light to medium to firm. This is a very relaxing type of massage.
Cranial Sacral Therapy (CRT)
Cranial sacral massage (CRT) is a gentle hands-on technique that uses light pressure to relieve tension and promote healing. It is great at restoring balance to the nervous system and releasing restrictions around the brain and spinal cord. It can help with TMJ, headaches, chronic pain, neck/shoulder, back pain, facial pain and emotional imbalances.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage is a full body massage for pregnancy. Each massage is tailored to each mama's needs focusing on any area that may need a little bit of extra healing touch.
Sports & Trigger Point Massage
Sports & trigger point massage helps to alleviate muscle tension and inflammation post sports event or workout, and provides a warm up to loosen muscles for amateur and professional athletes pre-event or workout. Pressure can be mild and intense depending on muscle conditions and routines. Dynamic or static cupping can be added to increase circulation and loosen fascia along with stretch.
